The property

2 Channel View is a very comfortable, spacious, thoughtfully presented three-storey holiday home, benefitting from the most stunning panoramic views both up and across the estuary and out to sea.

Seated in any area of the open plan dining, lounge and sun room there are glorious views across to Mill Bay, equally from sitting in bed!

The property is accessed from the shared private driveway with two allocated parking spaces by a long flight of steps (42).

A mid way patio provides a small seated area for first appreciation of the views.

Forward of the entrance to the house is a spacious furnished terrace for sun bathing and outdoor dining.

This can be accessed either from the front door or from the sunroom’s large sliding windows onto a raised balcony with a few steps down to the main terrace.

Once inside the entrance hall a door leads to a good sized cloak room with wash basin and WC.

A further door leads into the comfortable lounge area with two sofas and occasional furniture.

There is a smart TV.

Forward of the lounge area is the sun room with another sofa and dining table for four.

To the rear of the open plan area is a formal dining table seating six.

Even from here the estuary and Millbay can be seen from your seats.

The recently refurbished kitchen is very well equipped with single oven and induction hob, microwave, integrated fridge freezer, dishwasher, food processor, Nespreso Vertuo coffee machine (also cafeterie) and also a washing machine.

There is a bar table with three high stools.

There are three bedrooms, including a master bedroom with King-sized bed, bedside units and wardrobe, the second bedroom, also on the first floor is a twin room with single beds, a wardrobe and dressing table with drawers.

This room has a small ensuite with electric shower, basin and WC.

In addition to the en suite, on the first floor, is a family sized bathroom with bath, shower (over bath) w.c and wash hand basin.

There is a heated towel rail.

On the second floor is a further twin bedroom with a TV with Firestick and DVD player.

To the rear of the property there is a covered drying area with hose, ideal for washing and drying wetsuits.

About the location

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

Please note there are 42 steep steps up to the property from the parking area.
