The property

Delightful, self-contained apartment in a Georgian House, situated on the river Dart with magnificent views across the river to Kingswear and the countryside beyond.

Within easy walking distance (around 7-8 minutes) of the boutiques, art galleries, cafes, restaurants, Royal Gardens and the famous waterfront of Dartmouth.

Good access with only two steps into the flat from the street. From the front door, step into the hallway .

To the right is a light and spacious sitting room with an array of comfortable sofas and traditional furniture, giving the property a homely feel.

Sit at the window and watch boats sailing up the river. The modern and well-equipped kitchen is furnished with high-quality contemporary units with an electric hob and an integrated double oven.

A range of appliances, including a microwave, a fridge/ freezer, washer/ dryer and dish washer are provided to suit all your domestic needs.

There is a good-sized dining table and seating for four guests. Across the hall there are two spacious bedrooms, one double with an en suite shower and WC, the other a twin.

All beds have Tempur mattresses, ensuring a good night’s sleep.

The twin bedroom is next to a WC with basin.

There is also a separate bathroom with panelled bath and washbasin. The beautiful South West Coast path passes the door, leading to Blackpool Sands and beyond to the west ,and to the east, to Coleton Fishacre, a fascinating National Trust property with exotic gardens stretching down to the sea. Opposite the flat are Manor Gardens with expansive views out to sea and up river.

Close by in the town, Royal Avenue Gardens is a scenic retreat with beautifully landscaped gardens. Parking opposite, subject to availability, is unrestricted in winter and limited to two hours between 1 May and 30 September.

A permit for Mayors Avenue carpark in the town is provided for 12 months of the year, parking there is subject to availability.

The permit is also valid for the park and ride. 18 Southtown is a wonderfully comfortable property located in a stunning position.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
