“Lovely apartment, with everything we could have wished for available.”

The most fabulous view from the sitting room. Situated in what we thought was the nicest and most interesting part of town, with shops, restaurants, cafes, access to waterside for boat trips, museum and castle all within easy walking distance. Parking permit was very useful, plus we also managed to park just opposite the property for a part of our stay, although we imagine that may not be possible during the spring/summer/autumn seasons.

The bathroom could do with a scrub to get some mould off the back wall and the main window in the lounge has a patch where an insect seems to have got trapped and left quite a bit of ‘deposit’ which could do with a clean but this didn’t detract from our enjoyment. We love staying here and if ever you think of selling…

“A small but absolutely brilliantly presented flat with the most stunning views you might ever experience.”

The two extremely comfortable armchairs in the bay window perfectly complemented the view. Our favourite spot and hard to drag ourselves away from. Very comfortable bed and bedding and plentiful fluffy towels in the bath / shower room added to the comfort. The compact kitchen area was very well equipped and had everything we needed to prepare our eat in meals. Such a joy to glance round from kitchen duty to see the passing boats! This was the perfect relaxing holiday in a WOW property and have already booked up to return in 2025. Thank you.

“This is a delightful appartment with an amazing view.”

Even better than the des cription. All the extra touches were lovely - ornaments and pictures and flowered towels very pretty. Additional books and games and binoculas a lovely idea and the kichen was well stocked with equipment. Thank you for lovely roses and drink a great welcome after a long train and bus journey from Yorkshire. The owner did everything right and more. Thank you again for helping a very enjoyable holiday.

“We could not be more delighted by every aspect of our stay in this well appointed and superbly located property.”

The owners of the apartment have, obviously, put in a lot of effort to ensure that the standard of the facilities far exceed that which could reasonably be expected. In fact, there were too many for us!! Although a television is provided, we did not use it and chose instead to take in the magnificent harbour views and observe the constant movements therein. This is the first time we have stayed in a Sykes property but, based on our recent experience, it may not be our last. Many thanks to the owners of Dartview.

“We loved the apartment!”

It had everything we needed for our week long stay. It was very homely and the owners had given thought to providing comfort . Nice bed with feather duvet and pillows. Big, fluffy towels in the bathroom. Comfy sofa, and the armchairs by the window for admiring the view of the river and Kingswear . Being September, we had no trouble finding space in the central car park and this was free with the notice provided. The apartment was only a 5 minute walk from town, so really convenient. No complaints at all.

Kitchen facilities were fine and making a dinner in the small kitchen was no problem at all. The parking permit worked easily, but once their we didn't need a car- beautiful walks from the door and the local shops had everything we needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and we would definitely like to return ourselves.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed the flat but very sorry that you were cold. The British weather certainly keeps us on our toes and the temperature can fluctuate quite considerably from day to day. There is a boost option on the heating controls and we are more than happy for guests to alter the temperature for their own comfort. Instructions for altering settings are in the white box on the unit along with all the other information leaflets. Heating systems do vary but the ladies at the Coast and Country office are very kind and would be happy to help you should you have any problems. We do have under kitchen unit lights that light up the kitchen area, the switch is just to the back right hand side of the microwave. On reflection it could easily be missed so we’ll be sure to make it obvious where the switch is. “A comfortable well equipped flat in a beautiful chilling quiet location but very near the centre of Dartmouth.”

It has been decorated beautifully with lovely objects that I could have chosen myself very similar tastes to me .A free permit for the carpark all week was a bonus and only a short walk down from the flat. We have visited 3 Dartview many times for a stay and will continue to do so .It's a go to place for us when we need to unwind and take stock. Sometimes are visits are planned other are very last minute . Dartmouth itself is beautiful with very friendly people..There's plenty to do if your feeling energetic or a great place to unwind in the flat in your comfy chairs watching the world go by.The lovely little extras you left were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. I loved the Christmas tea Cosy and the beautiful drift wood Xmas tree .Until the next time .....

“No 3 Dart View is just perfect….”

. We had an absolutely beautiful break. Everything is there to hand including games, books, binoculars, sewing kit for emergencies plus advice on local activities and maps to help detailing local walks, we have stayed 3 times at Dartview we love it. Instead of going out to find a place to eat with a nice view it makes sense to stay right where you are and eat in… you won’t improve on the view. Watch the river life and the steam train opposite in warmth and a lovely comfy chair sat in window. Shame one of the windows doesn’t open as frame needs repair. Sadly we had a big problem with our booking, and despite our request’s (12 weeks in advance) Sykes would not even consider swapping weeks for another week (which was still available), but their answer was “you are contracted to pay for the week you have booked” so just be aware once booked you can’t change…. For this reason we won’t use Sykes again as it was most frustrating and spoilt the break. It’s a great Shame 3 Dart View is only bookable through Sykes… But if you book this flat you will have a lovely time I’m sure the car park (which you are given a parking pass for) is just a few mins walk away.

“The apartment is ideally situated in a great location, close to the town, with fabulous views of the river Dart and Kingswear.”

We were impressed with the attention to detail; everything had been well thought through and provided; particularly difficult in a small space. For example, the clever use of a cupboard for utility items and the inventive way of providing hanging space. We have stayed in larger places, with less facilities. The kitchen was very well equipped and although we ate out every evening, we could just have easily cooked. All in all, a real home from home, which we would gladly stay in again.

“Location, location, location.”

No private parking at the property. The kitchen area is small. The bedroom is small. The bathroom is fairly standard. So why is this property so popular? the lounge/dining area and the views therefrom are the key to this property. If the property was in any other location most holidaymakers would not give it a second glance. But because of its location it is the only property we are sad to leave when our week is over!

However we like to think that the reason guests return to us year after year is that they appreciate the fact that we work hard to provide a good overall experience. We do provide a parking pass for the main car park and there is unlimited free parking on the road opposite out of season. On your feedback form from your visit last year that mentioned you had difficulty with the combination oven, we provided a microwave which we hope you found easier and useful. “Perfect in every way.”

Delightful property - comfortable, light, airy, beautifully decorated and of course, with incredible views. The flat was extremely well equipped and with thoughtful additions like the vase of fresh flowers, milk and prosecco that were much appreciated. The parking permit was a real bonus too and although a walk of c7 minutes to the main car park, this was not an issue. Location terrific too - so close to the town centre but all was tranquil in our gorgeous hideaway. Loved it.

“We had a really nice Holiday.”

The flat has everything in it that you need and more (games & even a pair of binoculars) It’s warm, comfortable and the views are fantastic. If you like Dartmouth it’s just perfect, just around 200 metres from town. Two relaxing chairs to sit in window and enjoy it. The Bed was comfortable, the shower was very good, the flat is a good size for two and very clean and well presented. The only negative for us is we can’t take our little Shih Tzu so he goes to a carer otherwise we would visit this flat more. Don’t hesitate book it you won’t regret it. Sign in window says “it doesn’t get much better” I would say that it’s the perfect place for that sign…. Thanks for two amazing weeks. Can’t wait to go again we loved it.

“On 2 occasions we bought M&S meal deals which had the main meal to be heated in a conventional oven and the side to be heated in a microwave.”

Quite difficult when the oven is a Conventional/Microwave combination. We had not noticed this on our previous rental because that was pre Covid and we were eating out. Perhaps a downside of a compacted kitchen area when all the local hospitality was struggling with staff availability.

“Collecting the keys and parking pass was very easy from the kind and friendly office staff who gave us very easy to follow instructions to our holiday accommodation.”

We walked into the apartment and it took our breath away. Even better than we had expected. Everything was thought about - so many lovely little touches to make us feel very welcome and comfortable. The Devon Cream Tea provided for us was a really kind thought- we thoroughly enjoyed that! When my husband pulled some stitches on his coat, I found the sewing kit - perfect. “The perfect getaway for a couple or single person.”

Well equipped, spotlessly clean and perfectly positioned. Less than a minute to the riverside, pubs and restaurants. The views over the harbour are simply stunning, I never even switched the TV on for 3 days! Despite being on the road, it is very quiet. The only downside is the parking, but as the free car-parking is less than 5 minutes away, it really wasn't an issue

“A lovely apartment in a beautiful position.”

Even if the weather is bad, the view from the window compensates. The cream tea and wine makes one feel welcome. The only negative is that we have a 5 foot bed at home and we feel cramped in the double bed although we realise that it would be awkward to fit in a bigger bed. The pluses outweigh this.

Bedroom very small and 4ft 6inch bed in stark contrast to our 6ft bed at home. However, we knew exactly what we were getting from the accurate letting particulars and photos so no complaint, just a comment! The view from the bay window made up for it! Stunning! Don't think we bothered with the TV!

The property

3 Dartview is a waterside, first floor flat in Dartmouth and is perfect for a couple.

From Newcomen Road there is a communal entrance to Dartview and two short flights of stairs up to the property.

There is a lobby with hanging space for outdoor clothes and shoes.

The modern kitchen has a two-ringed hob, electric combi-oven and fridge.

The open plan dining / sitting room has stunning views across the water, two arm chairs positioned by the window, perfect for admiring the river views, and a Smart TV with DVD player, whilst a small utility room hides a washing machine.

The master bedroom has a double bed and plenty of clothes storage whilst a bathroom is situated off the main hallway with a bath, shower (over), w.c, hand basin and shaver point.

Located in the very heart of Dartmouth, this flat has easy access to all the local attractions including restaurants, shops, galleries and pubs within just a few minutes’ level walk.

A parking permit is provided for the nearby Mayors Avenue long-stay car park for a single car however spaces are subject to availability.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
