The property

Lower Norton Farmhouse is a superb and beautifully presented Farmhouse enjoying some wonderful countryside views from all the principal rooms.

Situated just a short drive from Dartmouth and the Start Bay coastline in this South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it is a perfect retreat for couples and families alike.

You will be greeted by a large entrance hallway, where you can leave your coats and boots before stepping into the spacious lounge with plenty of seating to curl up on of an evening, with the warming wood burning stove to keep you warm.

The large high quality kitchen is amply-equipped with everything you could possibly need, whilst the dining area provides space to enjoy your lovingly prepared home-cooked meals and offers a fabulous entertaining area with sofas and a wood burning stove.

Off here is the sun room offering a quiet escape from the rest of the house with bi-folding doors opening out onto to paved terrace with outdoor seating.

With five bedrooms in total, the farmhouse comprises of a spacious master bedroom with superking-size bed, walk-in dressing room and en suite shower-room, a further double bedroom with en suite bathroom, two twin bedrooms, one of which can be made into a further super king-size bed on request and a further ground floor double bedroom.

The family bathroom is fitted out to the highest standard with a feature free-standing ‘egg’ bath and large walk-in shower cubicle.

To the exterior is a fabulous paved terrace providing an ideal spot for al fresco dining with a large lawned garden sweeping up the hillside offering a fabulous exercise spot for your dog.

Indeed for your beloved pet, an outside kennel is also provided as well as a dog shower.

Find many places to eat and drink within the town if cooking is not really your thing, and explore the many shops and galleries littering the streets.

Brush up on your history with a visit to Dartmouth Castle and enjoy its many displays and exhibits, before heading down to the waterfront for a pleasant afternoon.

It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town.
