Goody is a wonderful first-floor apartment with expansive views of Hope Cove, a beautiful picture-postcard fishing village in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

This charming apartment is the perfect home base for a family holiday, or for a couple with a small dog.

In less than a minute’s stroll you will find yourself on the golden sandy beach exploring an abundance of rock pools.

Goody will bestow three guests with a well-equipped kitchen, incredible views from every window, access to the communal garden, a designated parking space and close proximity to a variety of local attractions.

Ascend the steps, which lead to a fully-decked balcony, and marvel at the breathtaking sea views across the cove to the Art Deco Burgh Island Hotel, sparkling white on its own tidal island, where Agatha Christie wrote two of her novels.

Step into Goody’s inviting kitchen/dining area, where you will prepare delectable meals and dine while overlooking the surrounding rolling countryside, including the beautiful period thatched cottages that characterise the hamlet of Inner Hope.

At the end of a day of adventure, relax in the sitting area, where you can enjoy plush chairs, an electric fire, a Smart TV with DVD player and Velux windows from which you can contemplate the exquisite views.

Discover the rear communal lawn, the perfect spot to unwind, while you rustle up a feast on the BBQ and watch the sun setting over the horizon as your furry companion stretches their legs.

After finishing your bedtime routine in the spacious bathroom, a king-size and a single bedroom await, where you can rest before exploring South Devon's attractions.

Awaken to take in the fresh sea air with a short stroll to Hope Cove village centre for breakfast at The Cove, before taking a morning swim or a paddle board at the beach, just 70 yards away, before popping into the award-winning Hope Cove Galllery to browse the work of local artists.

Dine in a heated pod at The Lobster Pod Bistro overlooking the harbour and beach, or sample the menus of the Hope and Anchor or Hope Cove House and also relish live music at award-winning bar/restaurant The Cove.

Set off to the bustling resort town of Salcombe, where you can discover many unique shops, eateries and galleries, then wander along South Sands Beach, one of South Devon’s most unspoilt beaches, and grab an ice cream at The Winking Prawn.

Relax at Overbeck's subtropical garden paradise high up on the cliffs above Salcombe where you can appreciate sweeping coastal views and explore exotic, rare and tropical blooms bursting with colour, thriving in Salcombe’s famous microclimate.

Complete your getaway with a visit to the pretty market town of Kingsbridge, home to its picturesque estuary and a choice of shops and restaurants, before sampling fresh seafood at The Crabshell Inn — the perfect spot to survey the bustle of boats by the quayside.

All of this make Goody the ideal choice for an unforgettable holiday in a stunning, natural setting on the Devon coast.

About the location

HOPE COVE

Salcombe 4.6 miles; Kingsbridge 5.1 miles

The picturesque and unspoiled village of Hope Cove lies in the sheltered curve of Bigbury Bay on Devon’s south coast. A choice destination for families, the two beaches offering soft sand and rock pools for sandcastle building and fishing for small crabs. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards Bigbury-on-sea in one direction and the coastal resort of Salcombe in the other.

There are steps from the parking area leading up to the property entrance. Children must be supervised on the decked terrace and in the communal garden. The decked terrace can be slippery when wet, please take care
