“Great location in Kingswear, short but steep walk to the marina.”

Parking narrow but good for the area. Beautiful views from the back of the property, especially the back decking. This is a really good size but feels cramped because there is a huge table and chairs out there, seating 8 even though the cottage only sleeps 5. This feels like a real waste of space in what is the highlight of the property. The kitchen is really well stocked, great appliances. Games, books and DVDs available. Main bed was comfy. The single room bed is very soft and wouldn’t be suitable for an adult, our three year old found it okay. Unfortunately we couldn’t let him sleep in the downstairs bunk room as it was just too cold. The whole of downstairs was too cold to really use for our whole stay. There is a plug in heater but it needs to be on for hours to make any difference. It feels damp, cold and musty downstairs. The whole house was chilly for most of our stay, mainly due to not being able to control the heating from the property. You have to contact the owner which I was unable to do for the first couple of days. The heating was then turned up but the next day it was chilly again and I didn’t want to keep messaging. The weather was glorious so I can only imagine this is worse in the colder weather. Overall, the location and the view is the real selling point. There are lots of wonderful things in this property but it just lacks the comfort you want when you are on holiday.
