The lovely first-floor apartment at 4 St. Elmo Court is located on the outskirts of Salcombe, a busy beach town in Devon.

The apartment accommodates six visitors and provides the perfect base for a family holiday, located within a short distance from a variety of local amenities and the beach, whilst enjoying expansive views across the shoreline from the private balcony.

Park up in the communal area before arriving on the first floor, entering the welcoming living/dining area; you can relax with the Smart TV on in the background or focus on the breath-taking views from the balcony.

Prepare delectable meals in the well-equipped kitchen before inviting everyone to the dining table next to the snug.

After a brief dip in the outdoor pool or a wander around the common grounds, freshen yourself in the shower room before retiring to one of the three tastefully decorated bedrooms in your home; these include a super-king-size, a king-size with an en-suite bathroom, and a bunk room.

Grab your hiking boots and get ready for a morning of exploring the South Devon AONB, which includes Salcombe North Sands and Overbeck's Garden.

After taking advantage of the local services, continue your journey to Kingsbridge, where you may visit the Cookworthy Museum or take a tranquil stroll along Kingsbridge Creek.

Last but not least, make a stop in Dartmouth, which is dotted with family-friendly sites including the local museum, the harbour, easy to rent a boat and explore the waters, Dartmouth Castle, and Little Dartmouth Nature Reserve, which lets you enjoy both the coast and the countryside.

About the location

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
