Lovely house well equipped and maintained In a great location Would suggest that the size of the parking space is highlighted owing to the enthusiasm of the traffic wardens It was difficult to park a large vehicle without over lapping onto the pavement Would certainly consider rebooking for another holiday

The property

A traditional, Edwardian terraced house with accommodation, Shipwrights is arranged over three levels, extended and fully refurbished to a high standard and offers estuary views from the garden and top floor double bedroom. The property is the perfect base for one or two families or couples, set in a quiet location yet only a five minute walk to the centre of town, just a short walk from the boat park and Salcombe's wonderful waterfront, shops and restaurants.

Enter into the hallway which leads to a small but cosy sitting room with feature fireplace and Smart Samsung TV. Enter into the well-designed open plan kitchen/garden room with well equipped modern kitchen and dining area, perfect for socialising with family and friends. This area now has a Bluetooth enabled Roberts DAB/FM radio which can easily be paired with any Bluetooth enabled device to allow tenants to stream their own choice of music or other media.

A step from the kitchen area leads up to a light and spacious 'garden room' with a large oak dining table and chairs and a long bench, a sofa and easy chairs.

From here full width folding doors that open onto the good sized decking area and garden beyond.

The decking area has a large outdoor dining table with eight chairs and a sun parasol.

There is also a small garden area beyond the decking. There are four bedrooms; on the first floor is a double room with King-size bed and a bunk bed room. On the second floor floor (attic) level is a small twin bedroom with two single beds, and a double room with 4'6" bed. A highchair, travel cot, stairgate and changing mat are available for families. On the first floor is a family bathroom with bath, shower (over) and on the second floor is a shower room.

One well-behaved dog accepted.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

About the location

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
