The property

Situated in an elevated location, with uninterrupted views over the Salcombe Estuary and beyond, The Sands is a luxurious and contemporary coastal retreat.

Situated just a short walk from the sandy beach of North Sands, and with quick access to Salcombe town, and the coast path, it’s the perfect property for a special family holiday, or groups of couples looking for something special.

The entrance to the property boasts a striking glass and oak staircase, behind which is a large dining area, a cloakroom, and access to the rear terrace.

The well equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and breakfast table situated in front of sliding doors, leading to the front sun terrace, and also provides access to the separate utility room.

The sitting room is triple aspect, with sliding doors leading onto the front sun terrace.

Full length windows/door lead onto the side sun terrace, with views of the estuary and Bolt Head.

The property has five en suite bedrooms, three doubles and two twins, all enjoying super-King size beds (the zip and link beds can be changed upon request).

In addition, there is a shower room on the first floor.

The attic room has been converted into a sitting area, with TV/DVD/Playstation unit.

Outside, the front garden with a sloping lawn leads to a luxuriously furnished wraparound sun terrace.

The rear terrace is sheltered by fencing and woodland.

Parking is available for up to four cars.

Wireless broadband is available.

One small dog is permitted.

SALCOMBE

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
