“Amazing location.”

Fantastic facilities. Excellently stocked kitchen with everything anyone could possibly need. Love the Orla Kiely touches also love the overall vibe of the place. Negatives… bathroom was not clean, short and long dark hairs all over the floor … yuck TV in the sitting room turned itself off with no apparent cause or reason admittedly this only happened once but you may want to check it out for other guests Overall tried to book the apartment again for next year but sadly it was ...

Thank you for taking the time to give us this important feedback. Firstly, please accept our apologies for the cleanliness of the bathroom. We are quite appalled to hear this - and surprised because previously our cleaner has received excellent ratings from guests. We will follow this matter up urgently with Coast & Country (who are responsible for organising the cleaning). In your feedback you highlighted “Fantastic facilities” but we see you gave a low rating for our facilities. We are keen to know what changes we could provide to improve things for future guests. “A great apartment, stylish and comfortable, good kitchen with everything you need equipment wise.”

We enjoyed staying it was a great view and we loved watching the milking herd going out and being brought in. Just two niggles, there is no socket point near a mirror to dry hair! and a loo holder ( not on the floor) would be good

“This is a beautiful spot.”

Quite remote and not easy to get in and out, out of season and in bad weather. However this is the pay off for such an extraordinary place. The apartment was exceptional. Clean, functional and very comfortable. The finish and decor were lovely. Countryside views were gorgeous. Thank you for such a magical week.

“I called Sykes on arrival as the property wasn't as described, there was a picture of the sea which looked like it was taken from the apartment but it was actually taken from a different apartment - really disappointing as we booked this apartment specifically for a sea view.”

I was told the lady would call me back but didn't receive a call back with a resolution. The hot water also went off on after the second day and we had to have cold showers on the Monday and Tuesday. Not great after a January swim in the sea! Apart from this, the apartment was terrific.

“Beautiful well equipped apartment which had everything we needed.”

“Spectacular - from the quality of the accommodation to the setting.”

We had a wonderful time. The apartment faces onto beautiful open countryside to the front yet we were steps away from clifftop views to the rear where we sat and watched some beautiful sunsets. The only thing we would have wished for is faster broadband - it was very slow - but we know the owners are working on this. Thank you again.

We are sorry the rural and remote broadband was an issue for you. After further investigation we have indeed now changed the broadband to a '4G' receiver (as used on your phone). This new reciever and router seems to reliably give 25+ Mb download - which is fine for streaming videos, doing video conferencing etc. Please let us know if any future problems. Property Owner

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.
