    “We have just stayed at 7 Ocean’s Edge three times now and would happily go again.”

    However, we did have initial problems as the duvets in the bedrooms are duck feathers, and one of us has an allergy to feathers. We rang Sykes and after some resistance we were sent, admittedly after their hours, a synthetic duvet. Unfortunately it was for a double bed, not a king size, so we had to ask Sykes again. We were given a flat refusal for a king size synthetic duvet and only after complaining were we sent a large flat sheet. This, combined with the smaller duvet and a throw cover ...

This, combined with the smaller duvet and a throw cover enabled us to sleep relatively comfortably. During our stay we were a bit concerned with the cleanliness in one or two places. One bed cover had dirty marks on it and a toilet brush was badly soiled with excrement. We did our best to keep the apartment clean, but had been left virtually nothing in the way of cleaning fluids. It is also mentionable that the staircase up to the first floor had large amounts of sandy soil on it throughout our stay. We can forward photos if needed. This all sounds as though we did not enjoy our stay, which is not the case. The apartment is beautifully situated and well equipped. We just think that you should be aware of these things.

    Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay; however we are disappointed to read that you were unhappy with our service. We were unaware before your arrival that there was a party member allergic to feathers, this is something that is usually asked before your arrival. We replaced the duvet with a synthetic one as soon as you called after hours. We are also sad to read you had a few cleanliness issues. Please know that if you have let us know we would have rectified these bits immediately. We have carried out an inspection of the property and can report all has been remedied. Property Owner

The property

Ocean's Edge is a stunning development of luxury ocean front apartments, right on the water's edge and with shared use of a delightful heated swimming pool.

The apartments are just a short walk from the beach at Thurlestone Sands and sit adjacent to the South West Coast Path, whilst the historic villages of Thurlestone and Hope Cove are both nearby.

7 Ocean’s Edge is a first floor apartment (lift available) a beautifully furnished, well appointed apartment with the most breath taking panoramic sea and coastline view.

Equipped with a light and bright open plan living space, including a well-equipped kitchen, dining area with table and chairs, and a comfortably furnished sitting area with corner sofa and a TV and DVD.

An additional utility houses a washer/dryer.

Glazed doors lead out to a large balcony with amazing views, furnished with a small table and chairs overlooking the pool, with stunning views out to sea and towards Burgh Island.

Three bedrooms include an en suite master with a King-size divan bed, with a fully tiled en suite shower room plus glass doors leading out to the terrace, and affording wonderful sea and coastline views.

The second bedroom has a double bed, also with an en suite shower room, Ideal for a family break, the third bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds. From the apartment there is level access to the shared swimming pool and gardens, amazing sunsets can be enjoyed from both within the apartment and the furnished balcony.

There is allocated parking for one car, plus visitors bays.

The picturesque village of Thurlestone is popular with both beach-goers and watersports enthusiasts, with the beautiful sandy beaches of Thurlestone and South Milton Sands within walking distance. Thurlestone boasts an 18-hole links golf course, a 13th century church, a traditional pub, a post office and the ‘Voyage Spa’, where visitors can enjoy spa treatments or afternoon tea. The sailing town of Salcombe is just a 10-15 minute drive away, and the fishing village of Hope Cove is a short drive away, or can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path.
