“The cottage was just perfect for my daughters and I, and it had absolutely everything we needed.”

The area is stunning, with lots to do for children and adults. We would recommend heading down to Beacon Cove to find sea glass, fossils, and other treasures!! Then head to the harbour for a nice bite, or a spot of crabbing. Walk along the pier (after grabbing a brew and an ice cream from the hut) and you might be lucky enough to see some seals! Even the Seagulls are polite here! We absolutely loved that when you incorporate the sandy beach, and arcades, it naturally just brings you back toward ...

Even the Seagulls are polite here! We absolutely loved that when you incorporate the sandy beach, and arcades, it naturally just brings you back toward the cottage, it’s like a happy little loop of joy, with plenty to do or see on the way. And lots of places for a nice relax. The location is also perfect if (like me) you forgot your swimming costume, because the town is also in walking distance, don’t forget to take a walk along the shopping mall’s balcony where you can find some really quirky and lovely retailers. 10/10. And our lovely host Peter, who came out after 10pm to aid us with a house emergency that actually ended up just me being dumb! Words can’t begin to describe how lovely and warm Peter is, the kids loved talking to him about the fossils they found and he never made me feel like an idiot for needlessly calling him out, and so late as well. I have stayed in many cottages over the years, and this is definitely top five!
