The property

Tucked away just off the historic ‘narrows’ in the heart of Totnes, lies this quaint, one-bedroom property, The Loft Cottage.

Set over two floors with a sought-after garage storage space for bikes, paddle boards etc, whilst being within a stone’s throw of many shops and eateries, The Loft Cottage provides a lovely bolthole for couples looking to escape to South Devon.

Approached via an alley leading to the property, step through the front door and into the entrance hallway, leading off to a bathroom with a choice of bath and shower over.

Climb the stairs to reach the open-plan living space, featuring a curtain divide with a double bed at one end.

Take over the kitchen to prepare your home-cooked meals when you’re not dining at a local restaurant!

Spend your down time on the sofa, tuning into the Smart TV for your favourite shows, or throw open the patio doors to access the Juliette balcony, overlooking the street.

Totnes makes an excellent holiday base; within a short walk lies Totnes Castle, a well-preserved Norman castle with commanding views of the town and River Dart, along with the Totnes Elizabethan House Museum where you can browse over ten thousand artefacts that tell the story of this charming, historic market town.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the town with a wander along the River Dart or head to the River Dart Country Park and explore a range of outdoor activities, including zip-lining, canoeing, high ropes courses and hiking or if you’re after something a little less strenuous, why not enjoy a picnic in the sun?

Head to Darlington for a superb range of independent shops, perfect for picking up a gift to take back home, whilst there is also the fabulous Dartington Hall, a beautiful medieval estate featuring gardens, art galleries and craft shops.

If you crave a day on the coast, golden expanses can be found at Torquay, Broadsands and Babbacombe Beach, or the fabulous national park of Dartmoor, all accessible within a scenic drive.

The Loft Cottage provides an excellent bolthole for two.

Note: The garage is for storage of bikes, paddle boards etc only.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
